Winter News 2010

Happy New Year!  For the months of January and February, Park Preschoolers are implementing a Creative Curriculum Study on Balls. Children will be exploring various types of balls by making rubbings, drawings, and creating their own balls.  We will have a collection of various types of balls from home as well as those supplied by teachers for children to discover.  In PE and Outdoors play, we will be rolling, tossing, and learning new ball games. We will explore what balls are made from, and ask exactly what constitutes a ball?

 

About Park Preschool

Park Preschool is one of two classrooms of preschools at Park Elementary school located at 623 E. 5th Ave. The two classrooms are Mrs. Cash and Mrs. Pope's preschool classrooms. They are both under the purview of Durango School District 9-R. Park Preschool registers children in April of each school year.  First priority is given to children age 4 before October 1 and who live in the Park attendance area.  All 9-R preschools, including Park, use the Creative Curriculum for assessing children, developing the preschool curriculum, and creating the learning environment.  Please contact Mrs. Cash at 247-3718 X 3553 for further information.  Mrs. Pope can be reached at 247-3718 X 3560.
