SPELLING

The spelling words are continuing to become much more difficult. Your student do have to complete their spelling homework in addition to their CRCT practice. Their spelling scores are dropping dramatically and I'm afraid that overall Language Arts grades will be effected. Please be sure to have your student continue with their homework for spelling and PRACTICE throughout the week.

INTRODUCTION

Just a little bit about me........

This is my nineteenth year of teaching. It is my first year at E. C. West and I am VERY excited. Previously, I was at Renaissance Elementary School just around the corner. I have done most of my teaching in primary (2nd and 3rd) but I have taught grades all the way up to 7th.

I have taught all over the country including Springfield - Massachusetts, Los Angeles - California and now here in Georgia.

I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Psychology, my Masters degree in Special Education and I just finished up my coursework for my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Now it is time for me to begin writing my dissertation. This should take me about a year or two to complete. It is a lot of work but I really do enjoy it.

SOCIAL STUDIES - (Home Project) - Most of the projects have been turned in. I am just waiting for a couple more. The projects that were turned in look great. They will be counted as a test score. An additional performance score will be given for their "American Hero" presentation of their work. Thank you for all your support with their home project.
